This is the village of Ilmington, in the Cotswolds. The old Catholic Church was converted into a community centre and shop, we made a new doorway for them. 

 

First, the wall was removed and a steel lintel put in. Then we built the door jambs and fixed a very long stone head across the lintel. It is always a pleasure to work with Cotswold limestone, its honey-colour is so warm and inviting.
